I tried out this brilliant pizza sauce recipe last night from Allrecipes and I have to say it worked a treat. It’s a lovely rich and smooth sauce that works well as a base when spread onto the crust. Any kind of additional pizza toppings would work well with this. If you’ve any of the sauce left over, it also works well with pasta.

1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
Method
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion, onion powder, garlic and oregano until clear. Stir in tomato paste and tomato sauce; reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Let cool and spread over prepared pizza crust.
